It's amazing getting to watch high level Dota over here in California at these hours, but it must suck for teams to have to play at 2am and later. Seems to be a problem not just at the Major, but DPC leagues also repeatedly had EU/CIS teams playing past 1am. Wondering... why?
why?pro soccer in brazil main games is played 10pm-12
playing 4 BO3 in a day I guess? and its not like they start late, they started in like 9/10 AM local time
They did start too late, they started at 5am est which is noon in Kyiv, they needed to start at 9am
Hard agree, especially notable because this tournament has been utterly fantastic otherwise
Flashpoint in CSGO had same issue, it was a valve requirement - possibly same herehttps://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/nb17yz/why_are_the_flashpoint_matches_so_late/gxxukt3/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=usertext&utm_name=GlobalOffensive&utm_content=t1_gz4dfsv …
At the Major and for the DPC, the first rounds start too late in the day. They could easily shift things a few hours earlier in both cases, but they're being greedy from cross-regional views. That's my take.
I think the original DPC schedule (pre season 1) had them starting earlier but they were shifted later after getting some feedback? Am I mis-remembering this?
4xbo3s in 1 day takes a lot of time unfortunately, the games start at 11am which isn't that bad
4 Bo3s a day take quite some time, especially when all series go to the full 3 games (like they did this day). I think one possible fix would be stretching the whole major for a few more days by playing fewer series a day. Although I could see that being not beneficial for the TO
Its all about the money, census prolly shows more viewers esp.(USA) they prioritze it more
